The Many Uses of Baking Soda

Baking soda has many benefits especially in beauty regime

Baking soda is not only something you will need while baking your favorite cakes or cookies but it is more than that. This wonderful ingredient is not only easy to get but also a cheaper alternative for your beauty regime. I loooovee baking and I love trying out beauty’s homemade remedies too so I always stock up a huge packet of baking soda in the cabinet just in case I might need more. (teheeee)  In this post I’m gonna share with you what I usually do with baking soda that I combined with few other ingredients in my daily beauty regime. There are more regimes you can try out but these are my most favourite regimes of all that i often do. But! Of course there is a ‘but’, every home remedies should always come with its own precautions and care. Thus, I shall advice you to know your skin well before deciding to give this home remedy a try.

Baking Soda + Honey
This combination is great to exfoliate and deep cleanse your skin from impurities and dead skin. Simply mix these two ingredients and use it as your weekly facial wash and use it on your wet face. Based on my observation, I noticed that my blemishes and reddish spots have faded a little on my first application. My skin also feels soft and fresh and I can tell my pores get smaller too. But the only thing that bothers me is how it makes my skin feel heavy and the heat from honey caused my skin feels uneasy. But according to Aly Walansky (http://dailymakeover.com/beauty-benefits-baking-soda/) you can also use plain water and baking soda to exfoliates oily, acne prone skin.

Baking Soda in Shampoo
I used to add a small amount of baking soda into my shampoo to improvise my hair condition since my hair was quite frizzy and thin. this one will also help in voluminize  your hair.

Baking Soda + Toothpaste / Lemon Juice

Ever wanted to whiten your teeth but your financial commitment seems unconvincing? Well worry no more, you can try this cheap, easy and proven method by simply put some amount of soda bicarbonate on top of your toothpaste and normally brush your teeth. Another way is to mix a few drops of lemon juice to 1 teaspoon of soda bicarbonate until it forms a thick paste and use it as your toothpaste. You could actually do quite everything with this paste such as blackheads remover, lips scrub and also body scrub.
